A friend mentioned how much he’d enjoyed Camilla Thurlow’s How to Fail episode and I was reminded how much it had resonated with me too. I first listened when it aired in September and was struck by how eloquently Camilla conveys her ideas. Listening to it again I found myself in tears. I have many favourite episodes from Elizabeth’s Day’s podcast but this really strikes a chord.

An old but really great chat between two brilliant artists, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Kate Tempest on the process of creating

Walking helps me think and this old piece connects the importance of the two as put so cleverly by Henry David Thoreau, “a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.” Walking, Henry David Thoreau, 1861.
